Active Surveillance

How this treatment impacted my life the most

I am on active surveillance at the moment with the possibility of HIFU treatment later this year. I have not had it yet , hence the N/A responses in the last few sections. So far , I have coped with active surveillance (6) years because several mri scans and biopsies suggested that my lesion has been manageable , ie not growing speedily. however , now it is , so i am hoping to be accepted for HIFU treatment in the coming months.

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Yes

Why did I give this answer?

Other than long waits for results of psa tests , and mri and biopsy results , i have been happy to remain on active surveillance. Now my lesion is a bit bigger ,and gleason is now 3+4 , so i am eagerly awaiting to hear when and if i can have HIFU.
