Tips and advice for any bladder or bowel side effects of treatment

If you have problems peeing this could be the first signs, seek medical advice and a PSA blood test, the earlier caught the easier the treatment, because of covid it took me 18 months to get PSA test

How this treatment impacted my life the most

The operation was a doddle, I didn't like self injecting for a month, but you get used to it, the water infection a few weeks after having the catheter removed was the worst , I was immune to the 3 types of antibiotics and after 10 days referred back to hospital where a catheter and camera were inserted, it was thought the junction from bladder to tube had collapsed, I was told that the catheter would be removed in 2-3 weeks it was 5 months! It was with general anaesthetic to have camera and catheter removed, so far so good. During all this there was no home support and trying to see a doctor was useless!

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Yes

Why did I give this answer?

The water infection couldn't have been avoided. If I had been seen during recovery, it may have been spotted sooner.
