Chemotherapy

Tips and advice for any bladder or bowel side effects of treatment

The treatment whilst successful has meant I now have to have a permanent supra-pubic catheter fitted. Individuals need to understand how this may limit future exercise etc

How this treatment impacted my life the most

Having to live with a supra-pubic catheter, I need to prepare for trips over 2 or 3 hours in duration.

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Yes

Why did I give this answer?

My PSA result is now less than 0.1, so the Cancer is in significant remission, so the treatment has saved my life. When I was diagnosed in2022, I had no symptoms whatsoever, and it was only diagnosed as a result of a regular PSA test, so I am grateful for the detection of the cancer. With a high Gleeson Score, my cancer was detected JUST before it had spread
