Hormone Therapy (tablets)

Tips and advice for any bladder or bowel side effects of treatment

Loose bowel movements alternated with constipation. Drinking plenty of water ( about 5 litres per day) seemed to help medication to try to regularise bowel movements - worked initially

Tips and advice for any sexual side effects of treatment

There were some gains. Reduction in testosterone made me easier to live with - according to my wife!!

Tips and advice for any physical side effects of treatment

Exercise seemed / keeping active definitely helped - walks of 1 to 5km walks most days

How this treatment impacted my life the most

Has not really had a major impact at all - more 'inconveniences' I would say

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Not sure

Why did I give this answer?

Although my age and advice from oncologists were against it , in retrospect i feel I did not consider prostatectomy enough eg I did not talk to a surgeon. Probably this would not have changed my decision but at least i would now be able to say - I gave this alternative a very good look before making a decision.
