Radical Prostatectomy (Surgery)

How this treatment impacted my life the most

When I got my date for prostactomy (in France) I returned to the uk for football, while I was there my appendix perforated, I got peritonitis and was in hospital in the uk for over a week. This put back my prostactomy in France, when I had it I could not have robotic surgery due to the appendectomy. Since then I have a stricture and I have had 13 further surgeries to open my urethra. I now have to go to hospital every week to have a catheter inserted to keep the stricture open. This has a massive impact on my quality of life, my self esteem and my mental health. My gp has written to another urologist in Bordeaux to ask for a consultation in regards to having urethraplasty.

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Not sure

Why did I give this answer?

Because of the impact it is having on my quality of life, and that of my wife
