Tips and advice for any sexual side effects of treatment

It is what it is,the treatments do affect this part of your life but the alternative is in my view gambling with your life,my view was that I have this bugger lets zapp it and get rid!

Tips and advice for any physical side effects of treatment

The sweats are a bind but I was well warned, the increased weight was annoying and I had to buy all new trousers to accommodate the gut.Fatigue is a pain but fortunately I am retired so didn't have to cope with work

How this treatment impacted my life the most

Our marriage suffered temporarily as my wife was more worried than me(she did the march for the month to raise funds for Prostate cancer). My treatment was during or just after lockdown so I had to go to hospital by myself which was no problem for me but she did feel isolated. My attitude was one of complete trust in the NHS and so far all is good(I'm still here!) and normal life other than 6 monthly blood tests has resumed.

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Yes

Why did I give this answer?

I took the Radiotherapy route as my talk with the surgeon did not convince me that an op would be sucessful and avoid incontinence,I had looked at the possible percentages of outcomes and wanted to go via Radiotherapy route.I fully respect those that chose the surgery but not for me.Active surveillance was an option but as I said earlier as it had been detected I wanted it zapped
