Radiotherapy

How this treatment impacted my life the most

having to make sure my fluid intake for a full bladder was correct. After drinking a full bottle of water, my bladder re-filled rapidly, meaning I had to let some out before my treatment began. I found drinking only two thirds of a bottle, 20minutes before my appointment, and eating a teacake, worked better. I managed with this system after the first three days, up-to the end of treatment.

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Yes

Why did I give this answer?

Once I had worked out how to have a full bladder at the right time, everything went like clockwork. I had a sufficiently full bladder, every time.

Tips and advice for any physical side effects of treatment

Just take your jumper off when you have hot sweats! They will pass.

How this treatment impacted my life the most

Just the hot sweats. They continued for more than 18 months after the last injection.

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Yes

Why did I give this answer?

I can live with hot sweats better than I can live with Prostate Cancer.
