Radical Prostatectomy (Surgery)

Tips and advice for any sexual side effects of treatment

Very important to me that my wife was very supportive throughout

How this treatment impacted my life the most

I think prior to the treatment I was anxious. Whilst I was a 4+3 prior to the radical prostatectomy when the gland was removed I had moved to a 5+4. I was worried but the medical team were very bullish about the outcome and they managed to ensure that my nerve endings were not damaged. So far my blood test have shown that the PSA is undetected. I need to have a hernia sorted where the wound has not healed but that is relatively minor.

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Yes

Why did I give this answer?

It seems to have worked and the cancer has not been detected since the operation. 🤞
