Radical Prostatectomy (Surgery)

Tips and advice for any mental and emotional side effects of treatment

Seek help. The problem I found was that medical people I spoke to didn't know of many after effects so were useless. You have to get back onto the hospital and their back people.

How this treatment impacted my life the most

It made me aware of my mortalitity. I didn't want go to sleep for fear of not waking up! I thank the Lord, I'm over that now but the depression was bad for eighteen months. I was very low.

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Yes

Why did I give this answer?

The operation was a fabulous success to date. Having it removed takes away future worries about if continual treatment will work.
