Tips and advice for any physical side effects of treatment

Hot sweats are a nightmare day or night, i dought doctors help and they gave me Cyproterone tablets, though there are others available. My main concern is the massive weight gain around my stomach and im experiencing increase daily, ive started doing light excercise preying this will work

Tips and advice for any mental and emotional side effects of treatment

Hopefully you may not experience all of this, but i have, once your prepared for treatment please gather family and friends and tell them everything about what you know concerning your possible mood changes. Its been a nightmare for me living as i do alone and tears flo regularly for no reason, i can be snappy and not nice person, but its not self pity its the fear of the unknown. Also tell family and friends not yo ask how you are everytime they call or visit, been constantly reminded can have relapses

How this treatment impacted my life the most

It wasnt easy choosing surgery or Radiotherapy, i was in turmoil and depressed i sought Prostrate cancer help and spoke with Macmillans, but it was up yp me to choose, its the hardest decision you will ever make, so think carefully. I saw the surgeon and Oncologist over few month period and choose Radiotherapy. The impact of the treatment was choosing and that as had the most impact so far, the treatment i got me thinking this is real, its only when your in the theatre surrounded by a machine do you realised youve got Cancer

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Yes

Why did I give this answer?

The treatment is made easy by the wonderful staff and every step your told what will happen. My first visit took over and hour and i was suprised what i had to do especially the Enema. The 19 treatments after lasted minutes, and home i went
