Tips and advice for any bladder or bowel side effects of treatment

I felt the need to want to urinate quite a lot especially during the night, my radiologist team suggested taking paracetamol before bedtime which seem to help a little. I was regular with my bowl movements before radiotherapy but after treatment I needed to visit the loo between 4/5 times before my bowls cleared.

How this treatment impacted my life the most

The most exhausting part of my treatment was attending the 20 days radiotherapy treatment and the bladder and bowl protocol associated with the treatment. Although the treatment only took 10/15 minutes the hole process including travelling back and forth to the hospital was approximately 4-5 hours . It was a great relief when this was completed.

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Yes

Why did I give this answer?

I have had 3 positive PSA results since completing the treatment which shows the process was successful.
