Radical Prostatectomy (Surgery)

Tips and advice for any sexual side effects of treatment

Stay positive, focused& carry on enjoying life. After the operation in September 2022, After taking 4 weeks time out to recover, I totally focused on getting back in the gym & running club, in preparation for running the London Landmark Half Marathon on behalf of Prostate Cancer UK, which I completed on 2nd April 2023. Now preparing for the Bristol Half in June this year.

How this treatment impacted my life the most

I was well supported by family, friends and especially my work colleagues. After being diagnosed with Prostate Cancer it made me look at life in a totally different light. I have eased off on my business travel & focused more on my family, hobbies and social activities.

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Yes
