Radical Prostatectomy (Surgery)

How this treatment impacted my life the most

Worrying about the future spread of the cancer

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Yes

Why did I give this answer?

No realistic alternative. This seemed the best option ahead of hormone and radiotherapy.

Radiotherapy

How this treatment impacted my life the most

It was a huge disappointment that the cancer had spread following my RARP in 2018. This metastasis lead to my SABR treatment in early 2021. My big worry at that time was that Covid was still around and this was interfering with the scheduling of radiotherapy appointments. Also knowing that further metastasis is likely to happen is not a happy thought.

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Yes

Why did I give this answer?

At the moment my quarterly PSA tests show a very low score. However my consultant told me at the time that he thinks it likely that I shall require hormone treatment at some time in the future.
