Hormone Therapy (injections and relugolix tablets)

Tips and advice for any sexual side effects of treatment

I don't know, as the HT has taken it away. My wife seems to cope with. I suspect she thinks things will return to normal once I stop the HT injections.

Tips and advice for any physical side effects of treatment

I increased my exercise prior to Radiotherapy and have continued to walk on average 5 miles a day. I believe this has enabled me to maintain my energy level. However the HT has weakened my muscles & also given me joint pain.

Tips and advice for any mental and emotional side effects of treatment

For me this has been my biggest problem. I wake every morning feeling really sad for no reason. I have to force myself to even get out of bed or to do thing that used to give me pleasure. My memory is now so poor I can't trust it. My must used saying is "I used to be an adult".

How this treatment impacted my life the most

As I said previously emotionally I feel all over the place. I've lost confidence and generally feel useless.

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Yes

Why did I give this answer?

Although particularly emotionally I'm not in a good place, the alternative is not to be here at all. I try to hold on to the belief that once I finish the HT I'll slowly gegain my old self.
