Radical Prostatectomy (Surgery)

How this treatment impacted my life the most

It has meant that I have had to adjust many personal aspects of life for the time being. I was planning a three month cycling trip to Indochina but ......it will have to wait a year...... My positive outlook on life was temporarily 'questioned', but not for too long.

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Yes

Why did I give this answer?

I understand that the treatment was necessary if I wanted to prolong my life to a normal life expectancy. I lost my brother to prostate cancer six years ago after he was diagnosed with a much more advanced diagnosis. I was, of course, a little apprehensive especially when I fully understood the effects of the side effects. However, despite my fears, I believe I made the correct decision and, this far, the side effects have been minimal.
