Tips and advice for any physical side effects of treatment

I did take mild pain killers, paracetamol which did help.

Tips and advice for any mental and emotional side effects of treatment

I wish I had more people in the same situation to talk to as I felt this would have helped.

How this treatment impacted my life the most

The initial procedures to see if I had prostrate cancer were uncomfortable, painful and embarrassing. The hormone injections were less painful. The radical radiotherapy treatment was long winded. This treatment made me totally loose my sex drive and unable to perform sex. Although my wife said she understands, this made me feel inadequate, very anxious and depressed.

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Yes

Why did I give this answer?

Even after all the treatment and 6 monthly PSA blood tests I feel if I didn’t have the treatment I probably wouldn’t be here today.
