Radical Prostatectomy (Surgery)

Tips and advice for any bladder or bowel side effects of treatment

Some continence aids are not suitable for the purpose they are intended for. You need pads which have absorbent crystals in them so the liquid is locked in, some absorb but leak if they get squashed when you sit down. Some supermarkets do the most reasonably priced pads under their own brand name, the posh main brand pads I found were not comfortable. Just see what feels right for you, shop around.

Tips and advice for any sexual side effects of treatment

How this treatment impacted my life the most

Urinary incontinence since surgery prevented me from working on my ward as a staff nurse. I could not have restrained agitated or violent patients without serious leakage!

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Yes
