Radical Prostatectomy (Surgery)

Tips and advice for any sexual side effects of treatment

I am still in the very early stages post operation

How this treatment impacted my life the most

A great sense of relief that I had the radical prostatectomy. My symptoms were originally ignored by the pharmacist at my health centre but fortunately I bounced back to speak to a doctor who made a 2 week referral. So basically I am very happy my cancer was caught and has not spread ( as far as we know to date) so all round a great sense of relief for me, my partner and adult children and grandchildren.

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Yes

Why did I give this answer?

For me it seemed the best bet. Go with radical prostatectomy and can fall back on radiotherapy. Fortunately I live near a hospital with all the state of the art surgical procedures and experienced surgeons.
