Hormone Therapy (injections)

Tips and advice for any physical side effects of treatment

Exercise, Keep fit & eat well ( no fast/processed food)

How this treatment impacted my life the most

Urgency to pee when I’m out & about.

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Yes

Why did I give this answer?

12 yrs ago a routine biopsy indicated I had cancer - there was no choice but to have it removed by key hole surgery. A couple of yrs later a rising psa indicated there were still cancer cells around the prostate bed so no option but to have targeted radiotherapy. Then a few more yrs later a ‘pet scan’ showed it had spread to other areas of my body - so a no brainer to have chemo. & go onto 6 monthly hormone injections and blood tests. It’s now watch the psa level - when it goes over 2.0 then more treatment….. currently it’s 0.4. ‘It is what it is’ - it doesn’t stop me keeping fit cycling twice a week and racing cyclocross every winter.
