Radical Prostatectomy (Surgery)

Tips and advice for any sexual side effects of treatment

Follow best advice. Don't expect immediate results.

How this treatment impacted my life the most

My greatest concern, other than the treatment not fully dealing with the problem (metastasis) was the possible effect and limitations on my lifestyle caused by incontinence. In fact, I was immediately dry at night and completely dry within five months. I most wholly recommend 'pre-habilitation' - the adoption of regular pelvic floor exercises and following all recommendations given by the specialist nurses and physiotherapists.

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Yes

Why did I give this answer?

My operation has proved to be successful. My rehabilitation was, thanks to an amazing team of professionals, as fast and complete as I could have hoped for.
