Radiotherapy

Tips and advice for any bladder or bowel side effects of treatment

I was on a low-fibre diet before starting radiotherapy, due to a twisted bowel. After radiotherapy, I was transformed into changing to a high-fibre diet.

How this treatment impacted my life the most

Relieved to have caught this at an early stage, and to have been discharged 2-3 years later. Impressed by the efficient radiotherapy treatment. Anxious to find out how effective the treatment had been. Reinforced the messages- do things while you can, and screen for early prostate cancer with PSA testing, by urging your GP to order the annual tests.

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Yes

Why did I give this answer?

Very effective. However - I had to push very hard to start radiotherapy before Covid lockdown became a reality.
