Radical Prostatectomy (Surgery)

How this treatment impacted my life the most

Considered what is important in life and decided to retire from work early.

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Yes

Why did I give this answer?

The short period between diagnosis and very successful surgery was very important in my response here. The side effects were fully understood prior to surgery and were consistent with expectations. Recovery was relatively speedy albeit having a catheter was a particularly unpleasant experience and I was delighted to have this removed at the first opportunity. Recovery on the ward in hospital was a dreadful experience and meant I discharged myself early (next day) as I could not stand it any longer!
