Terry's Story
Unfortunately my wife died of cancer in 2010, so this was not a symptom that caused me any concern.
Following the Hormone Therapy Treatment and Surgery, l found this side effects disappeared after approx 12 months.
The main issue l have following my treatment is mainly the the first couple of hours in a morning. I won't leave the house until l feel my bowel is relatively empty, as it does not give me much notice of its intention to evacuate!
Yes
As my cancer was particularly aggressive, l wanted it removed as soon as possible. Although my prostate cancer did return in December, hence 33 treatments of Radiotherapy in 2021. My PSA is currently untraceable. I had no idea l had Prostate Cancer! Just one more thing, my Doctors and the NHS were amazing, 11 weeks from diagnosis to full removal, without their care l would not be here to give you my story.
After losing my wife to cancer in 2010, this area was not an issue.
Most of these symptoms were gone within 12 months following my Radiotherapy.
I personally think the effects from the Radiotherapy, during and after treatment are more difficult to deal with than the side effects from the surgery. The damage to my bowel has been the most difficult to deal with, although l am not incontinent, l do have to manage my lifestyle to avoid any 'Accidents'
Yes
My cancer was very aggressive, so l wanted it removed as soon as possible.
