Focal Therapy

How this treatment impacted my life the most

My local hospital were going to give me radiotherapy. When discussing this with another prostate cancer charity they flagged that because I have severe diverticulitis I should not have RT. I got a second opinion from and they let me in touch with a consultant at another hospital who agreed RT was not appropriate and got the NHS to authorise/pay for HIFU.

If I had to do it all over again, would I choose the same treatment?

Yes

Why did I give this answer?

I suffered no side effects. The consultant said if I have had had RT I would be in nappies the rest of my life!
